From the Washington Business Journal: Why Reston (Virginia) is Gonna Go Back in Time
Great Scott! For all of its tech-centric nature, Reston has decided to go back in time.
If you’re not a crazed fan of the “Back to the Future” trilogy, you may not realize that Oct. 21, 2015 was the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown journeyed into time in the second installment of the film series.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of “Back to the Future” and the fifth anniversary of the Washington West Film Festival, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has voted to change Reston’s name to “Hill Valley”– “Back to the Future”‘s iconic hometown – for five days beginning Oct. 21 when the festival kicks off.
